Motorcyclist hurt in crash after attempted traffic stop in Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM - A crash in northeast Albuquerque last week sent a motorcycle rider to the hospital, according to a KOAT report.

The incident followed a chase by a Bernalillo County Sheriff's deputy.  The sheriff's office said the deputy tried to make a traffic stop on the motorcyclist for erratic driving.

The rider subsequently crashed in the area of Morris Street NE and Candelaria Road NE and suffered an arm  injury.  No one else was injured.

A sheriff's deputy accompanied the motorcyclist to the hospital but it was not yet clear whether the rider would face any charges.
