1 adult, 3 children injured in crash in southeast Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM - Four people were injured, including three children, in a collision in southeast Albuquerque on Saturday afternoon.

According to a KOAT report, the crash took place at a business in the area of Virginia Street SE and Zuni Road SE.  The driver of a Mercury Grand Marquis lost control of the car while heading east on Zuni Road at about 12:50 p.m. The vehicle skidded across open lanes of traffic, hit a curb, and entered a business parking lot on Zuni Road, where it crashed into a parked Ford Focus with no one in it.

First responders transported one adult and three children to the University of New Mexico Hospital. One child was listed in critical condition.

 Zuni Road was closed between Wisconsin and Virginia Streets while the Albuquerque Police Department conducted its investigation into the incident.
