INDIANAPOLIS, IN - A pedestrian died after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Indianapolis late Thursday night, WTTV reports.
The incident happened on the city's near southeast side, in the area of Villa Avenue and Pleasant Run Parkway South Drive. Police officers arrived at the scene at about 11:45 p.m. and found the victim, identified as 32-year-old Tommy Brock Jr. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver who struck him fled the scene without stopping to help, according to police.
Homicide and accident detectives from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department are now investigating the incident. Anyone with further information was asked to contact the IMPD Homicide Office.
