Driver dies after hitting parked semi  on east side of Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - A driver was killed in a collision on the east side of Indianapolis on Saturday morning, according to WTHR.

A police investigation determined that a man driving a sedan collided with a semi-truck that was parked in the area of 30th Street and Massachusetts Avenue shortly before 11:30 a.m.

The sedan driver, whose name was not released, died at the scene.  The truck driver was not injured.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the wreck, and said that speed is believed to have been a contributing factor.
