INDIANAPOLIS, IN - An ambulance and a car were involved in a collision Sunday in Indianapolis, according to a WTHR report.
The accident happened in the area of Michigan Road and West 86th Street on the city's northwest side just before noon. The Pike Township Fire Department said an ambulance was on its way to a car fire on 86th Street when it was struck by a car traveling through the intersection, causing the ambulance to flip onto its side.
No serious injuries were reported, but an EMT and a paramedic who were in the ambulance were taken to Ascension St. Vincent Hospital as a precaution.
The ambulance, unit number 63, will be out of service indefinitely.
