1 dead after vehicle crashes, catches fire in NE Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Police in Indianapolis were dispatched to a deadly vehicle crash on Monday morning, WISH TV reports.

The vehicle reportedly crashed into a wooded area in the area of 5200 Binford Boulevard on the city's northeast side sometime before 3:30 a.m.

Indianapolis Metropoitan Police Department officers arrived after being notified of a vehicle on fire, and found one person dead as a result of the crash.

There was no word yet on what led to the accident, which remains under investigation by the IMPD.
