Suspect arrested in Indianapolis hit-and-run that injured juvenile

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Police in Indianapolis arrested a suspect in connection with a hit-and-run incident that occurred on Saturday night, WXIN reported.

Officers responded to the 4200 block of Brookville Road on the city's east side at about 9 p.m. and learned that a juvenile female had been struck by a vehicle that left the scene.  The girl was reported to be seriously injured with multiple fractures.

The suspected driver, identified as 33-year-old Monty Mulroney, was later taken into custody.  He was charged with OWI and leaving the scene of a crash causing serious injury.  Police investigating the collision believe alcohol was a contributing factor.
