HAMILTON COUNTY, IN - Authorities were dispatched to the scene of a fatal crash Thursday, January 23, on U.S. Highway 31 near Cicero, according to FOX59.
The accident occurred in the 22200 block of the highway at around 5:00 p.m. Officers with the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office arrived in the area shortly after.
An early investigation indicates that the victim was the sole occupant of one vehicle that was involved in the wreck, forcing a span of the northbound highway to close.
Motorists were asked to avoid the area as crews worked to process the scene.
Officials say the cause of the crash is still being investigated.
