Man, 19, dies after car crashes into tree south of Spiceland

SPICELAND, IN - Authorities have released details of a fatal car wreck that took place Monday afternoon in Henry County.

A report by WXIN identifies the victim as 19-year-old Dillon Michael Conlin of Greensburg.  Investigators said he was driving a 2010 Ford Focus on State Road 3 near Spiceland when the crash occurred shortly before 12:10 p.m.

Conlin's vehicle veered off the road and crashed into a tree south of County Road 700 S.  Indiana State Polce troopers and Henry County Sheriff's Department deputies found him dead at the scene.   He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the incident.  No one else was in the vehicle.

Investigators believe speed was a contributing factor in the crash.
