GRAND RAPIDS, MI - Michigan State Police are investigating a wrong-way accident Sunday morning that sent three people to the hospital, reports WZZM.
The incident occurred on US-131 near Market Avenue, where police said a driver was going north in the southbound lanes at about 3:50 a.m. The driver of the first vehicle, a 32-year-old woman, an unrestrained child in the car, and the driver of the second vehicle, a 36-year-old woman, were all transported to an area hospital. They were reported to have various levels of injuries.
At this point, Michigan State Police believe alcohol was a contributing factor in the crash.
