LAS CRUCES, NM - A woman was killed in a pedestrian accident in Las Cruces last week, according to a KVIA report.
The incident occurred on South Solano Drive near California Avenue, where police were called to the scene Friday evening at about 6 p.m. Responding Las Cruces officers found that the victim had been struck by an SUV.
Despite the efforts of first responders, the 38-year-old victim was pronounced dead. Her name was not immediately released
The driver involved stayed at the scene and was reported to be cooperating with investigators.
