PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI - The Kent County Sheriff's Office released details of a pedestrian accident that occurred in Plainfield Township on Tuesday afternoon.
According to WOOD TV, the victim was a 36-year-old woman from Whitehall. She was walking near the intersection of 10 Mile Road and North Division Avenue at about 3:30 p.m. when she was struck by an eastbound Lexus SUV.
The woman was seriously injured and taken to an area hospital. The driver of the SUV was a 54-year-old woman from Sparta.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
