Traffic delays in downtown Indianapolis due to accident on I-65/70

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Drivers encountered delays in downtown Indianapolis during Monday morning's rush hour due to a crash.

According to an alert from WIBC Traffic at 7:59 a.m., the accident happened on northbound Interstate 65/Interstate 70 before Washington Street. The left lane of the interstate was blocked as crews responded, slowing traffic past S. Keystone Avenue.

The incident also caused backups on eastbound I-70 from West Street into the South Split.
