Teen struck by hit-and-run driver while riding bicycle in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Indianapolis police are investigating a hit-and-run incident that left a teenage boy critically injured, WISH TV reports.

The 14-year-old victim was riding an electric bicycle on North Cumberland Road near 10th Street when the incident occurred last Thursday night shortly before 10 p.m.

The teen was hit by a vehicle and thrown about 50 feet.  He was listed in very critical condition after being taken to Riley Children's Hospital and was reportedly on life support.  Police said the bike had lights, but the vehicle involved did not have lights. 

The driver left the scene without stopping to help and is now being sought.  Detectives are trying to find any surveillance video that might have captured what happened.
