INDIANAPOLIS, IN - A teenager was hospitalized after a truck crashed into his house in Indianapolis on Saturday, reports WXIN.
The accident took place in the 5000 block of West Morris Street on the city's west side. Police officers were called to the scene after being notified of the incident at about 5:42 pm. They found that a truck had gone through the front of the house, causing heavy damage.
The homeowner, Patrick Conner, told FOX59 and CBS4 that the vehicle hit the room of his 17-year-old son, who was taken to the hospital with a broken arm and foot and bruised ribs.
Conner said the driver involved in the crash climbed out of the vehicle with a baby in his arms and left the scene. Police later arrested 24-year-old Kyle Thomas Phillips, who was preliminarily charged with criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon and neglect of a dependent.
