Suspected drunk driver charged following crash in Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS, MI - Police said a suspected drunk driver was involved in an accident at a building in Grnd Rapids early Friday morning.

According to a WZZM report, the driver collided with another vehicle in the area of Godfrey Avenue and Market Avenue at about 1 a.m., and then crashed into a building at that location. Both drivers suffered minor injuries in the incident. There was no immediate word on whether the building was occupied at the time.

Inspectors will check the building to determine whether there was any structural damage. The suspected drunk driver is facing charges in connection with the crash.
