CASS COUNTY, MI - A woman was injured when her vehicle was involved in a collision in Cass County on Monday afternoon, authorities said.
According to a WBND report, the incident happened in Milton Township shortly after 4 p.m. The Cass County Sheriff's Office said a driver heading north on Gumwood Road crashed into the back of another vehicle at U.S. 12.
The driver whose car was rear-ended, a 55-year-old woman from South Bend, was transported to St. Joe Medical Center with undisclosed injuries. The first driver was identified as 64-year-old Jack Schram of Mishawaka.
Alcohol does not appear to have been a contributing factor in the incident, according to investigators. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.
