ALLEGAN COUNTY, MI - Two semi-trucks were involved in a collision on U.S. 131 in Allegan County early Thursday morning, authorities said.
According to MLive.com, the driver of one of the trucks lost control and crashed in the northbound lanes between the Plainwell and Martin exits at about 3 a.m. That vehicle was then struck by a second semi.
One of the drivers sustained minor injuries.
Northbound U.S. 131 was closed for about five hours between exit 49 and exit 55 while crews removed the wreckage. Southbound U.S.131 was down to one lane.
Police believe slick road conditions due to snow and ice contributed to the accident.
