SAUGATUCK, MI - A rollover accident in Allegan County early Saturday morning left a driver dead, authorities said.
According to a report by WKZO, the crash involved a white pickup truck and occurred on Interstate I-196 south near Saugatuck in the vicinity of the Kalamazoo River.
Deputies with the Allegan County Sheriff's Office along with first responders arrived shortly after 5 a.m. to find that the pickup had overturned and the driver had been ejected. The victim, whose name was not released, died at the scene. No other vehicles were involved in the wreck.
I-196 was shut down for several hours in the area while the crash was being clearered and investigated.
