Rollover accident in downtown South Bend leaves 1 injured

SOUTH BEND, IN - Police officers were dispatched to a vehicle accident in South Bend on Sunday night.

A post on X by WSBT states that a vehicle overturned in the area of South Michigan Street and East Monroe Street shortly before 8 p.m.

The driver was reported to have suffered minor injuries. The South Bend Police Department said it had a large presence in the area, and that a tow truck had arrived to clear the scene.

Motorists were advised to avoid the area until it could reopen to traffic.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
