INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Indianapolis police are trying to track down the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run incident that occurred early Monday morning, reports WXIN.
A male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the vicinity of East Washington Street and Southeastern Avenue. Officers responding to the scene at about 5:30 a.m. discovered the victim, who was pronounced dead after being taken to an area hospital. The circumstances leading to the collision were not yet clear.
The driver who struck the pedestrian fled the scene. Investigators are examining debris found in the area to try and locate the vehicle involved.
