Pedestrian struck, killed by vehicle at intersection in Kentwood

KENTWOOD, MI - Police are investigating a pedestrian fatality that occurred in Kentwood on Thursday night.

WOOD TV reports officers responded to the area of 48th Street and Eastern Avenue after the incident happened at about 9:40 p.m.

The pedestrian, a female, was hit by a vehicle at the intersection and died at the scene. Police closed off the area for nearly three hours for the crash response and investigation.

The driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene.
