GALLUP, NM - Police were dispatched to a fatal vehicle vs. pedestrian collision in Gallup on Thursday night.
A press release stated that officers responded to the intersection of County Road 1 and West Highway 66 after the incident occurred shortly before 7:20 p.m. The pedestrian was killed in the crash.
Drivers were advised to use caution in the area as authorities were conducting their investigation. Westbound traffic was redirected through a private lot, while eastbound traffic remained open.
No other details were released on what led to the accident.
