ELKHART COUNTY, IN - Authorities are investigating a collision that claimed the life of a pedestrian in Elkhart County on Saturday evening.
A report by WBND states that the incident took place on County Road 13 north of County Road 32 at about 5:53 p.m. An investigation determined that a pedestrian entered the northbound lane of the roadway directly in front of a northbound 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle and was hit by the bike.
The victim, identified as 64-year-old Ray Wenger of Goshen, died after being transported to South Bend Memorial Hospital. The motorcycle rider sustained injuries that were not life-threatening, and was taken to Elkhart General Hospital.
