Pedestrian fatally struck by hit-and-run driver in NE Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - An investigation is underway into the death of a pedestrian in Indianapolis, in what police are calling a hit-and-run incident. 

WRTV reports police were called to the area of 2600 N. Keystone Avenue on the city's northeast side Friday morning at about 5 a.m. A male was found in the roadway and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department believe a vehicle struck the victim, and the driver then left the scene.  

Anyone with information about the incident or surveillance footage from the area was asked to contact the IMPD or Crime Stoppers.
