Northbound lanes of I-25 in Albuquerque shut down due to crash

ALBUQUERQUE, NM - An accident shut down northbound lanes along a stretch of Interstate 25 in Albuquerque on Monday afternoon.

A police spokesman told the Albuquerque Journal it was his understanding that a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle.  The victim, a man, was taken to an area hospital with injuries that were not disclosed.

The incident happened on I-25 in the area of Gibson Boulevard, exit 222, to Avenida Cesar Chavez.  Lanes were reopened later in the afternoon after the scene was cleared.
