HATCH, NM - A driver was arrested following a rollover accident in Dona Ana County that injured a 4-year-old child, reports KRQE.
Police in Hatch responded to the scene in the area of Canal Street and Jefferson Street Friday night at about 9 p.m. An investigation indicated that Cynthia Zuniga was driving a vehicle on Canal Street when she drove off the road and went into a canal.
The 4-year-old boy was ejected from the vehicle and injured. He was transported to a hospital in Las Cruces. Zuniga was suspected of driving while intoxicated, and she was subsequently charged with aggravated DWI and child abuse.
