News: Police make arrest in Hobbs crash that killed man and woman

HOBBS, NM - A suspect is under arrest in connection with a crash that killed two people in Hobbs on Friday night, reports the Albuq. Journal.

Police said the victims, a man and a woman, were walking their dog in the 600 block of Apache Drive at about 6 p.m. when they were hit by a vehicle and killed.  The pedestrians were identified as 33-year-old Joshua Jackson of Hobbs and 27-year-old Octavia Throssel of California.  The dog was also killed.

Police said the driver involved left the scene of the accident and was later arrested.  26-year-old Anthony Baca of Hobbs faces multiple charges, including involuntary manslaughter, tampering with evidence, and cruelty to animals, our Albuquerque car accident attorney adds.
