LUNA COUNTY, NM - A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle on Interstate 10 in Luna County, New Mexico State Police said.
In a news release, NMSP said the incident took place March 17 on I-10 east near mile marker 102 east of Deming. According to investigators, a man was in the middle of the roadway on the interstate at about 9:20 p.m. when he was hit by a passing vehicle. The victim, identified as 72-year-old Marcos Jaime Recarte-Osorio of Pasadena, California, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver involved was not injured.
State Police are continuing their investigation into the crash, and said that alcohol does not appear to have been a contributing factor, our Albuquerque car accident attorney adds.
