IONIA TOWNSHIP, MI - A collision during inclement weather in Ionia Township last week resulted in multiple injuries, reports WWMT.
An SUV and a pickup truck were involved in the wreck March 22 on East Bluewater Highway near Hillcrest Drive. The Ionia County Sheriff's Office said the driver of a 2020 Nissan Rogue lost control of the vehicle at about 12:31 p.m. because of snowy conditions on the roadway. The Nissan crossed over the center line and was struck head-on by a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado.
The Nissan driver, a 30-year-old man from Lyons, and the Chevrolet driver, a 25-year-old Ionia, were transported to an area hospital along with their passengers. All those involved sustained injuries that were not life-threatening, authorities said.
