JOHNSON COUNTY, IN - A motorcycle accident in Johnson County on Monday night left two people dead, authorities said.
A report by WRTV stated that the incident occurred in the area of State Road 44 and State Road 135. Investigators with the Johnson County Sheriff's Office learned that the operator of a Harley Davidson motorcycle went through a red light at the intersection and collided with a Ford F-450 pickup truck that was making a turn.
The driver of the motorcycle, 56-year-old Michael Merriman, and his passenger, 46-year-old Melissa A. Fidler, both were pronounced dead at the scene. The two victims were from Indianapolis.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the accident.
