INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Indiana State Police responded to the scene of a pedestrian fatality on the southeast side of Indianapolis on Monday morning.

According to WISH TV, the incident occurred on Interstate 65 northbound near the exits for Hanna Avenue and Keystone Avenue.  The ISP's initial investigation found that a man was trying to run across the interstate shortly after 9 a.m.

Several vehicles took evasive action to avoid hitting him, but the man was eventually struck by a Kia SUV and killed.  The victim's identity was not released.
