ALBUQUERQUE, NM - A man is facing charges in connection with a fatal hit-and-run incident in Albuquerque on Sept. 5, according to a report in the Albuquerque Journal.
It happened as a woman and her boyfriend were walking west on Trumbull Avenue near San Pablo Street. The driver of a pickup truck, reported to be traveling at a high rate of speed, struck and killed the woman.
Police said 19-year-old Jorge Ceniceros of Albuquerque called them three days later to turn himself in. He said he had been drinking the night of the incident, according to police.
Ceniceros has now been arrested and charged with vehicular homicide, reckless driving and leaving the scene of an accident.
