Man facing charges in crash that killed motorcyclist in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - An Indianapolis man is facing charges in connection with a crash that killed a motorcyclist on Saturday night.

According to WTHR, the incident happened in the 5600 block of Michigan Road on the northwest side of Indianapolis.  Police officers arrived at about 8:15 p.m. and learned that a motorcycle had been involved in a collision with another vehicle.

The motorcycle rider, identified as 23-year-old Kasen Jackson, died after being taken to an area hospital.

Three days later, police said Kevin Matheus turned himself in.  His phone was allegedly found at the crash scene., according to investigators.

Matheus has been charged with leaving the scene of a crash causing death, obstruction of justice and operating without a license.
