Man facing DUI charge after crashing into school in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, IN  - Indianapolis police officers responded to a crash at a school on the city's north side Saturday, WTHR reported.

The officers arrived at about 5:30 p.m. and found that a 2008 Lincoln SUV had struck the KIPP Indy Legacy high school on E. 30th Street near North Keystone Avenue.

A blood draw was conducted on the driver, a 59-year-old man, and he was subsequently arrested on a preliminary charge of DUI.  There was no immediate word on whether the man had been injured.

Any decisions on final charges in the case will be up to the Marion County Prosecutor's Office.
