Man arrested following Albuquerque hit-and-run incident

ALBUQUERQUE, NM - A suspected hit-and-run driver was arrested following several crashes in Albuquerque last Wednesday, police said.

A report by KRQE states the incident started when a white truck hit multiple cars in the area of Coors Boulevard and Bluewater Road before leaving the scene.

Responding police officers found the truck in a nearby parking lot and determined the license plate was not valid.  When they tried a traffic stop, police said the truck's driver intentionally rammed multiple police vehicles and nearly hit two officers in the parking lot.

The driver fled the scene and crashed into several other civilian vehicles, according to police.  As officers continued their pursuit the vehicle hit a median, and the driver and passenger tried to flee on foot but were taken into custody.  The vehicle was determined to be stolen.

The alleged driver, Lawrence Gray, is facing multiple charges that include receiving/transferring a stolen motor vehicle.  The passenger, identified by authorities as Shianne Temple, was arrested on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
