ALBUQUERQUE, NM - An accident at a railroad crossing in Los Lunas on Friday afternoon left a motorist injured, according to New Mexico State Police.
A report by KOB states that a car was hit by a Rail Runner train at New Mexico 314 and Main Street at about 4 p.m. The 80-year-old driver of the car was taken to the hospital, but no details were released on the person's condition.
No one else was in the vehicle, and no injuries were reported among the 26 people on board the train.
Those passengers were taken to the Isleta Rail Runner station to travel north, while southbound passengers were transported by bus to the Belen or Los Lunas stations.
The crash is under investigation by New Mexico State Police.
