ALBUQUERQUE, NM - Traffic was disrupted on Interstate 40 during Wednesday morning's rush hour due to multiple crashes, according to NMRoads.
In an alert posted at 8:38 a.m., the New Mexico Department of Transportation said the accidents occurred on I-40 eastbound at mile marker 122, 27 miles west of Albuquerque.
The eastbound right lane of I-40 was shut down in the area. Drivers were advised to slow down, use caution and obey all posted traffic signs while emergency responders worked to clear the scene.
