INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Police in Indianapolis have released new details in their investigation into a fatal hit-and-run incident this week.
In a social media post Wednesday at 4:30 p.m., police said they had located the vehicle and the alleged suspect involved in the crash.
Police officers responding to the area of Southeastern Avenue and Wildwood Drive on Tuesday found that a male pedestrian had been struck and killed by a vehicle that left the scene. Detectives released a description and stock photo of the vehicle they were looking for, a 7th generation 2015-2023 black Dodge Charger with a spotlight and aftermarket rims.
Police said they had solved the case thanks to tips from the public, but did not release further details regarding the suspect they had located. Detectives thanked the community for their assistance.
