Head-on collision in Kosciusko County leaves 1 dead, 3 hospitalized

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, IN - One person was killed and three others were hospitalized after a head-on crash in Kosciusko County Saturday, WBND reports.

Kosciusko County Sheriff's Deputies and local first responders were called to the scene on County Road 150 West near County Road 400 in Plain Township.

According to investigators, the driver of a 2024 Tesla was heading north at about 5:35 p.m. and was left of the center of the roadway.  The Tesla collided with a southbound 2007 Chevrolet.

The driver of the Chevrolet, 44-year-old Joseph Criswell of Milford, died at the scene. Six juvenile passengers in the Chevrolet were injured, with two of them hospitalized.

The Tesla driver, 31-year-old Anish Daita of Warsaw, was transported to Lutheran Fort Wayne with internal injuries.  Two adult passengers in the Tesla were treated at the scene and released.

The Kosciusko County Sheriff's Office FACT team is investigating the cause of the wreck.
