INDIANAPOLIS, IN - An investigation is being conducted into a fatal car wreck that occurred in Indianapolis over the weekend, according to WRTV.
The accident took place early Saturday morning at the intersection of Allisonville Road and East 64th Street. An initial investigation found that the driver of a Hyundai Accent was going north at Allisonville Road at about 2:30 a.m.
The driver crossed into oncoming traffic, and the Hyundai collided head-on with a Chrysler 300. One person was pronounced dead at the scene, while another person was injured and hospitalized in stable condition.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said alcohol is believed to have been a contributing factor in the crash.
