CASS COUNTY, MI - A motorcycle rider died following an accident in Cass County on Saturday afternoon, WKZO reported.
The 22-year-old rider was headed north on Dailey Road near Jefferson Center Street when the incident took place at about 3:30 p.m.
According to the Cass County Sheriff's Office, the man lost control of the bike and crashed into multiple trees. The victim, a resident of Granger, Indiana, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, authorities said.
Investigators believe speed was a contributing factor in the accident but have yet to determine whether drugs or alcohol were involved.
