Girl, 17, struck by vehicle in Santa Fe store parking lot

SANTA FE, NM - A 17-year-old boy was arrested after police said he struck a girl with his vehicle in a Santa Fe parking lot last week, according to the Santa Fe New Mexican.

The two were in a vehicle Nov. 21 at a Walmart store on Herrera Drive at about 10:15 p.m.  Police said the girl, also 17, got out of the vehicle and then was struck in the parking lot.

She sustained injuries that were not life-threatening, and was treated and released from an area hospital.  The boy was booked into the Santa Fe County jail on charges that included aggravated driving while under the influence, possession of cannabis products by a minor, and possession of alcohol by a minor.
