INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Police in Indianapolis were called to the scene of a fatal motorcycle accident on Monday evening.
According to WTHR, the crash happened on South East Street near Thompson Road on the city's far south side. A police investigation found that a motorcyclist was gong south at about 7 p.m., drove off the road and hit a curb. The motorcyclist, whose name was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The rider may have been trying to avoid a vehicle at the time the incident occurred. Police do not suspect impairment as a contributing factor in the crash.
