ALBUQUERQUE, NM - A search is underway for the driver involved in a collision that injured a pedestrian in Albuquerque on Saturday night, reports KRQE.
The crash occurred in the area of Central Avenue and Alcazar Street shortly before 7 p.m. Witnesses told police that a man who had been sitting in the road was struck by a white 2012 Ford pickup truck headed west on Central Avenue. The pedestrian was hospitalized with a skull fracture and brain trauma.
The driver of the truck fled the scene before officers arrived. Albuquerque police are now seeking the public's help in tracking down the vehicle and the driver.
