ALLEGAN TOWNSHIP, MI - Sheriff's deputies and first responders were dispatched to a fatal car wreck early Thursday morning in Allegan Township.
According to WWMT, the incident was reported on 122nd Avenue west of 30th Street at about 12:35 a.m.
Investigators said a driver was heading west when the car went off the roadway and crashed into a tree.
The driver and a passenger died at the scene. Their identities have not yet been made public.
The initial investigation into the accident has indicated that speed and alcohol use were contributing factors.
