Driver, passenger killed when car crashes into house in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Indianapolis police and firefighters were called to the scene of a fatal car accident on the northeast side Friday evening, WISH TV reported.

The incident happened at about 6:05 p.m., when a vehicle crashed into a house in the Parkwood Court housing addition in the 4100 block of Flamingo West Drive.  It was initially reported as a personal injury crash with a structure collapse.

Officers arrived to find one vehicle involved, and the driver and passenger were both pronounced dead.  They were identified by the Marion County Coroner's Office as 56-year-old Peter Lynn Jordan Sr. and 53-year-old Carl C. Cage.

East 42nd Street was closed between Emerson Avenue and Arlington Avenue while investigators worked the scene.
