INDIANAPOLIS, IN - One person died after a wreck involving two cars and a semi-truck in Indianapolis early Friday morning, according to WRTV.
Indiana State Police said the incident began when a car stalled out on Interstate 65 between Meridian Street and MLK Street at about 1 a.m. That vehicle was hit from behind by another car. The impact caused the second car to spin into the path of a semi-truck going north on the interstate, resulting in a collision.
The driver of the second car was entrapped in the vehicle and died at the scene. The semi-driver managed to escape without any serious injuries. The driver of the car that stalled was not injured.
The cause of the wreck remains under investigation by State Police, who determined that the lights were not working on the stalled car after it became disabled.
