Driver dies in car wreck on northeast side of Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Indianapolis police and first responders were called to the scene of a fatal crash on the city's northeast side late Monday night, WRTV reports.

The single-vehicle wreck occurred at the intersection of Fall Creek Road and Mollenkopf Road at about 11:30 p.m.   The driver was found unconscious and was pronounced dead after being taken to an area hospital.  The victim's identity and the circumstances of the incident have not yet been released.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department's fatal crash investigation team is looking into the cause of the accident, which temporarily knocked out power in the area.
