ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, MI - Deputies with the St. Joseph County, Michigan Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a fatal car wreck late Friday night.
WNDU reports the single-vehicle accident took place on M-66 near Blackberry Lane in Burr Oak Township. Authorities said a driver crashed into a tree at that location at about 11:45 p.m.
The driver, a 34-year-old man from Sturgis, died at the scene. No one else was in the vehicle.
Alcohol is believed to have been a contributing factor in the crash police said.
